Hi! I’m Nikki and this blog is an attempt to throw me out of my comfort zone and express my life through the lens of yogic living. I love yoga! Was introduced to it in 2000. Have been religiously doing it, breathing it, practicing it, being it since 2007 and yet have only made a hairline scratch on the surface of the top surface. I love yoga! especially power yoga! I’ve been teaching Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga since 2008. Did I mention that I love yoga?
My practice doesn’t end on my yoga mat. Yoga is my life. It’s not just my lifestyle in lululemon but yoga guides me in the direction of love, gratitude, generousity, authenticity, friendship, etc etc etc. Not to say that I’m perfect. Yoga teachers are NOT perfect! I have tight hamstrings and hips. I get mad off the deep end when I get pissed off. I cuss. I flip the bird and yell at crazy drivers in traffic. I’m impatient. I stress out. I eat junk food. But I’m real! Yoga keeps me real! It gives me the tools to deal with the usual life experiences. I love yoga!
If you’re in the California Bay Area, check out my website for class schedules… would love to meet you on the mat.

Hey Nikki, I love that you cuss! I have a book that I would like to send you for free from MysticPete.com. Let me know where I can send it~ Namaste
Nikki, I just started an Ashtanga practice and it is sucking me in slowly but surely:-) I love your pics and writing style…please keep it up!!! I love your playful spirit too..My brother and sister-in-law just came back from Hawaii and my brother said he thinks it’s the most beautiful place he’s ever been…and he’s been A LOT of places:-) So I sent him the blog on your retreat there…I hope to see you write something soon!
Hi there, FYI…I nominated you for a blogger award. The post is here: http://wp.me/p280GD-4l. Namaste…
Hey Nikki- i just found your blog and love it. I am also a yoga teacher and hope to get some inspiration from u!
Greetings from a yogini/singer in Vegas. I love that you admit you’re not perfect (and that you eat junk food sometimes!). I think teachers in any discipline should strive for excellence but remind their students that we all are on a continuous journey (hopefully of personal improvement and self-realization).
Thanks for sharing this Nikki, being real and having realistic expectation is so important, it save it you from disappointment, thanks for being a wonderful Yoga instructor, I loveeeeeeeee your class…
Thanks for being/keeping it real Nikki!
Namaste,
Alex
