The hardest part about turning 35 was being away from my family on my birthday yesterday. “Happy Birthday” via skype is not quite the same especially since it sounded more like “ha-pee-ay-er-duh-ay” since the internet connection was slower than two Italian beetles doing the funky… ok so two beetles weren’t doing the funky but one Italian beetle was trying to court my friend all week.

The most exhilarating thing I did on my 35th birthday in Italy was get in the pool and swam more than half way across ALL BY MYSELF!!!
